"Umara," derived from Punjabi for 'lifetime,' encapsulates our ethos, offering investment pieces that will transcend generations.

I launched with a simple mission that will never change: to bring my community solid gold jewellery crafted to last a lifetime. With inclusivity, authenticity, and transparency at the very heart of Umara, we're a fine jewellery brand dedicated to offering our customers quality products and an experience to match.

Get to know our founder, Priya

My inspiration stems from cherished memories of my grandparents, who began giving me gold when I was very young. While for many, gold is considered a luxury, in my culture, it's almost a necessity and a valuable investment.

My grandma was a simple lady, but when she rolled up her sleeves, two stacks of vibrant gold bangles were hiding underneath. When I started searching for investment pieces for myself so I could build a stack equally impressive, I quickly realised that many brands were inflating prices to the point that I couldn't afford them.

I've loved jewellery for as long as I can remember, a love I wanted to share with the world. Following several trips to Punjab, I eventually launched Umara in April 2022 after spending a month in the house my grandfather built working on my debut collection.
